Green Investment Bank
At the heart of the coalition governments aspiration ‘to be the greenest government ever’ was the creation of the UK Green Investment Bank. To help realise this I designed the branding for the first bank of its kind. With £3 billion of funding from the UK Government to invest in sustainable projects they had a vast and groundbreaking remit.
With a very limited budget we created a positive brand for the bank which reflected its unique positioning within the banking sector. Using a set of fresh images of nature to reflect the themes of sustainability and growth
In April 2017 the bank was sold for around £2.3 billion, with all taxpayer funding invested in it and the set-up cost having been returned with a profit.
